Living the Volunteer Spirit

The General Federation of Women’s Clubs is an international women’s organization dedicated to community improvement by enhancing the lives of others through volunteer service. With more than 100,000 members in affiliated clubs in every state, the District of Columbia, and more than a dozen countries, GFWC members work in their own communities to support the arts, preserve natural resources, advance education, promote healthy lifestyles, encourage civic involvement, and work toward world peace and understanding.

Who We Are!

The GFWC Junior Woman’s Club of Midtown is a non-profit volunteer organization comprised of young women in Tallahassee, FL. Through our volunteer service, we fulfill needs in our community.  Our mission is to elevate people, enrich lives and connect our community by educating, outreaching and volunteering.

GFWC Junior Woman's Club of Midtown was federated in 2005 under the name GFWC University Junior Woman's Club, becoming members of the General Federation of Woman’s Clubs (GFWC), the oldest and largest volunteer organization in the world and GFWC Florida Federation of Woman's Clubs.  Click on
GFWC and GFWC Florida to see more about these organizations.

In 2010, the club changed their name, incorporated and obtained 501(c)3 status.

What We Do!

Midtown Juniors do a variety of community service projects.  Our largest includes the "Crawl for a Cause".  Visit our Projects page for more details.

Our projects generally focus on the GFWC Florida Junior's Special Project "One Voice for Children."  The goal of "One Voice for Children" is to have a dramatic, positive impact on the lives of Florida's children.

In addition to volunteer service our club also provides its members with valuable leadership skills with opportunities within the club and at the GFWC and GFWC Florida levels.

Our club meets the first Wednesday of each month at 6:00 PM at the GFWC Woman's Club of Tallahassee Clubhouse in Los Robles, 1513 Cristobal Dr.  Our meetings are open to the public.  Contact us if you are interested in attending!
